TRI's Center on Early Learning staff presents:

Philosophy in Action

This interactive session will examine the role of a philosophy as the foundation for program practices and decisions. Participants will reflect on the origin and relevance of their program philosophy. Are the beliefs and values it embodies about children, families and early care and education aligned with their own? Does it it provide guiding principles for program decisions? Is the philosophy visible within the program environment, practices and relationships? Through individual reflection and dialog with other program leaders, participants will evaluate their current practices through the lens of their program philosophy to determine where philosophy and practice may be out of alignment. The session will conclude with the creation of an action plan to create and maintain greater synchronicity of values and practices.

Presenters: Robyn Lopez Melton, Lauren Peterson, Amy Rizzo
