Feb 22, 2017 to Feb 25, 2017
Beyond School Hours XX marks the 20th annual Beyond School Hours National Education Conference. This year's theme, Bringing the Future into Focus for all Students, brings together before-school and after-school program leaders from around the country, including the 21st Century Learning Centers.
TRI's 21st CCLC Technical Assistance team (Roxanna Marvin, Gary Glasenapp, Cori Brownell and Candice Scott) are headed to this conference for the 2nd year in a row, and this year will be presenting: Powerful Peer-to-Peer Leadership Strategies to Sustain Quality Programs.
Powerful Peer-to-Peer Leadership Strategies to Sustain Quality Programs
We all have dedicated and talented professionals in our out-of-school time programs - but how do we support and cultivate their leadership potential to sustain quality programs? This workshop explores how to implement powerful peer-to-peer leadership strategies with reflections, small group work, demonstrations, and professional action planning. Participants will complete a "Peer-to-Peer Leadership Inventory" to assess and select strategies they can implement in their programs.
