Aaron East and Tonya East will present for the closing general session at the ADTSEA Conference in Chicago on July 25, 2018.

Aaron East serves as the Traffic Safety Education Grant Coordinator at The Research Institute at Western Oregon University. He is responsible for the supervision of 10 instructors, traffic safety education course logistics, driver education instructor certification and business functions for the traffic safety education program. He earned his baccalaureate of science in 1987 from Western Oregon State College with a major in law enforcement and minor in business administration. Aaron's primary expertise is program and financial management. He has managed programs in the areas of military service, criminal justice, early childhood and state university grants for 30 years.

Tonya East joined The Research Institute at Western Oregon University in 2017 as a Senior Project Manager to work specifically on the Traffic Safety Education grant funded by the Oregon Department of Transportation. Tonya's academic credentials include a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Project Management Professional certification. She has worked in a variety of disciplines including corrections, senior independent living, and healthcare. She is a goal-oriented individual with strong leadership capabilities and experience in organizational diagnosis, design and facilitation. She is able to communicate effectively with all organizational levels, build relationships of trust and enlist the participation of team members. Additionally, she has worked as an organizational development consultant with experience in diverse workplace environments.
