Center Coordinator

Marlene Richards, M.S., CCC-SLP is the Center Coordinator for TRI's Education Evaluation Center (EEC). She holds teaching certification in Elementary Education and in Speech Correction and holds an Oregon license in Speech/Language Pathology as well as her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA). Her employment experience spans over 25 years and includes itinerant speech pathologist in the public schools, adjunct instructor and clinical supervisor of graduate students in the former Speech Pathology program at WOU, consultant in private practice as well as her current position with the EEC for the last 20 years. Her work at TRI's EEC began briefly in 1980 and resumed in 1994 to the present time. Areas of focus include assessment of child language and its relation to learning to read, social language as it relates to high functioning autism, and assessment best practices for multicultural populations. She is a member of ASHA as well as the Oregon Speech, Language and Hearing Association (OSHA).
