CDC FAQs

What ages do you serve?

At our preschool, we serve children ages 30 months to 6 years. Our school-age program serves children ages 6 years to 10 years.

What are your hours of operation?

We are open 7:30-5:30, M-F, year-round.

How much does child care cost?

Our prices vary, based on whether your child is in care part-time or full-time and on whether you are a student at Western Oregon University. For detailed information, view our Enrollment Applications. (Tuition information is on page 2 of each application.)

What are your staff members’ qualifications?

Our staff members have qualifications ranging from bachelor’s degrees to Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials. We also have student volunteers in the classroom, including education students participating in a cooperative work experience.

What are the classrooms like?

We have three classrooms. Our preschool classrooms are mixed-age group environments that serve children ages 2.5 to 5 years olds. Our school-age classrooms are also mixed-age and serve children from 6 to 10 years old.

We use the licensing ratios for our classrooms, which is a ratio of one teacher for every ten children. However, our ratios are frequently more like one teacher for every eight children. Student volunteers from Western Oregon University also help out in the classrooms.

We provide meals that follow the USDA guidelines. However, we ask that children bring their own lunches. We serve milk during lunch time.
