The Child Development Center's Summer Camp begins June 2016!

This year's Summer Camp is a STEM Adventure - focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

The Summer Camp will include indoor and outdoor activities, as well as opportunities for fun, friendship, and exploration! Our programs group children by age and encourage their growing ability to make choices, work with others, and assume responsibilities.

Our camp teachers work collaboratively with WOU faculty and staff to develop a fun curriculum that takes advantage of all that the summer offers. They use playgrounds, the surrounding community, and special visitors as an extension of camp, helping children to discover science, explore nature, and engage in the creative arts, all while learning about the vast opportunities in the world around them.

Summer camp is open to children ages 30 months to 8 years.

Camp is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and will run June 20th through August 26th. (We will be closed on July 4 to observe Independence Day.)

Children at the pool

Children attending Summer Camp have the option to take swimming lessons
through Western Oregon University. The university’s swimming teachers pride themselves on teaching the necessary skills needed to explore water as a lifelong fitness and recreational opportunity. Swimming lessons cost TBD.

To view the cost for camp, and to enroll, visit our Enrollment page
and download the appropriate forms. (We use the same enrollment forms for Summer Camp and year-round care.) You can also contact Ingrid Amerson by emailing CDC@wou.edu or calling (503) 838-8334.

We're looking forward to exciting times this year at the STEM Adventure Summer Camp. We hope your child can join us!
