This training mini-model is designed to familiarize preschool and child care providers with the special needs of children with cerebral palsy (CP). It is designed to provide the participant with a basic understanding and implications for the child with CP in early childhood settings.

After reviewing this information the participant will be able to define and recognize characteristics associated with CP, have information that would assist them in working with specialist in meeting the individual needs of children with CP and have resources to pursue for additional information. The participant will also have knowledge of strategies for access, participation and supports for children with CP and their families in inclusive early childhood programs.
