Featured Program - Impact NW SHINE

SHINE (Schools Helping Involve Neighborhoods in Education) is a program of Impact NW and operates in four elementary schools in the Beaverton School District through the support of 21st CCLC.  SHINE is a community school model that is a unique partnership with schools, community partners, volunteers, and businesses.

SHINE engages students and families through a number of academic and enrichment opportunities.  Highlights include our empowerment and leadership classes, sports clubs, Spanish literacy groups, family nights, and adult ELL classes.  Our program staff provide positive support that impact students and families on a daily basis.

Impact NW is a premier provider of educational and social services in the greater Portland metro area. The organization’s mission is to help people prosper through a community of support. Since 1966, Impact NW has been a leader in providing individuals of all ages with the skills and resources necessary to achieve success and to advocate for themselves and their communities.
