Helping children who are deaf-blind become an integrated part of their communities and lead fulfilling lives.
Each year the Oregon Association of the Deaf celebrates prior to last Sunday of September “Deaf Awareness Day” to encourage unity in the various Deaf communities, to promote awareness of Deaf Culture and American Sign Language to the general public, instill Deaf pride in the community, and show role models for young Deaf and hard of hearing children to inspire greater achievement.
