Options for Success Conference will be held at Southern Oregon University in Ashland.

On April 27-28, the 9th Options for Success Conference will be held at the Stevenson Union at Southern Oregon University in Ashland. There will be over 20 different workshops over 2 days, a vendor fair, a job fair, as well as a low vision fair showcasing specialized equipment for those with low vision or blindness. 

The theme is Get Your Tech On! Since technology is becoming ever more present and embedded in everything we do, how can we be cu-rious, innovative, welcoming and unafraid of the new technologies that are rolled out practically every day? There are so many creative ways to use technology on the job site, in school and in life! Our conference speakers will help us dig into that area with information about devices, apps, equipment and other kinds of high tech and low tech things that we can all use in ways we may not have thought of! 

This conference is specially designed to assist people with a variety of disabilities to return to work, and to become as independent and successful as possible. Employment is a large part of that equa-tion! Who can you expect to see in attendance? People who have worked for years, as well as people who are looking for their first job. Students and teachers, workforce professionals, disability special-ists, managers & HR professionals. 

On Thursday, April 28, local employers are invited to conduct a Job Fair, providing conference participants an opportunity to talk with local business people about their employment needs and hiring processes. This is also a great opportunity for em-ployers to visit our technology centered vendor fair, and learn how it can enhance the work environment for the team, individual employees, and even improve customer service.
