2020 PacNW Driver and Traffic Safety Conference The DEcade Ahead

Registration for the conference will open January, 2020.  

The goal of this conference is to provide a quality professional growth activity for traffic safety educators.  Conference sessions enable attendees to gain new information and insights on topics pertinent to the field, as well as provide an opportunity to interact with their peers from the region.

The conference begins at 1:00 PM Friday and ends at 1:00 PM on Sunday. 

The conference is scheduled to allow you to earn 3 Continuing Education / Clock Hours on Friday; 7.75 CE/CH on Saturday and 4.5 CE/CH on Sunday.

Mike Studer

Mike Studer,PT,MHS,NCS, CEEAA, CWT, CSST received his physical therapy degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1991. He received his post-professional MHS degree in physical therapy with neurologic emphasis from the University of Indianapolis. He has been board-certified as a Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy since 1995 and has been designated a Certified Exercise Expert in the Aging Adult (CEEAA) designation by the Academy of Geriatric PT since 2011. Mike has served as the Vice-president of the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy of the APTA and has been the chair and vice-chair of several special interest groups at the national level in each of the Academies of Neurologic and Geriatric PT, including Balance and Falls, Stroke, and the Practice Committee in neurology. He is a full-time treating therapist at and founder of Northwest Rehabilitation Associates, in Oregon. Mr. Studer has presented courses and published numerous articles on neurologic and geriatric rehabilitation since 1995 and has authored and co-authored several book chapters on stroke, PD, and preventative care as well. Mike is now regularly a guest lecturer on a national and even international basis covering 8 different countries on topics including aging, stroke, motor learning, motivation in rehabilitation, cognition, balance, dizziness, and Parkinson’s Disease. His lecture at the Pacific NW conference will be leaning on his unique writings and experience in training automaticity in the face of distractions.
