TRI's Lauren Peterson, M.Ed., will present on two topics at the Together for Children Conference, sponsored by the Jackson County chapter of the Oregon Association for the Education of Young Children. Responsive Caregiving in Infant and Toddler Programs - The Key to Healthy Development
Saturday, February 27 - 10am - 12noon -
This session will examine theories of responsive caregiving and attachment as they relate to healthy child outcomes.Participants will explore practices in responsive caregiving and will examine, select and practice strategies that are critical in developing a responsive caregiving environment for infants and toddlers.
Evaluating Screentime in Early Childhood Education
Saturday, February 27 - 1pm - 3pm
This workshop will examine the various forms of technology, from televisions to tablets, in early childhood programs with the following objectives: explore the impact of the use of screens on early childhood learning; explore the impact of screens on the developing brain and body; make informed decisions about the use of screens in your program.
