TRI's Lauren Peterson Presents at the 2016 Learn, Grow, Thrive Conference, taking place on the campus at Western Oregon University, on Saturday, February 20, 2016 - 9am til 3pm.

Lauren's presentation is titled, Evaluating Screentime in Early Childhood Education.

This workshop will examine the various forms of technology, from televisions to tablets, in early childhood programs with the following objectives: explore the impact of the use of screens on early childhood learning; explore the impact of screens on the developing brain and body; make informed decisions about the use of screens in your program.

This is a FREE event for parents, caregivers and early learning professionals which includes a FREE lunch and FREE child care for children 18-months and up during the morning. Parents/caregivers with children younger than 18-months are encouraged to have their child attend the morning event with them. This year our keynote is Jennie Sowder and she will be speaking about "The 7 Essential Life Skills."
