Transforming Possibilities into Realities!

12st CCLC Fall Conference 2016 - Transforming Possibilities into Realities

The Research Institute (TRI), in partnership with the Oregon Department of Education (ODE), is hosting the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) 2016 Fall Conference at Western Oregon University on November 17th and 18th.

In our work with students, families, schools, communities, our 21st CCLC programs and colleagues, and within ourselves, we strive to develop potential. Our conference theme "Transforming Possibilities into Realities", focuses on the many ways we can put that concept into action. Our keynote speakers for both Thursday and Friday will help inspire that work as well.

Keynote Speakers

Michael "Chappie" Grice

On Thursday, Michael “Chappie” Grice will deliver a keynote address about “Being Fair to Our Potential: Meeting the Challenge of 21st Century Learning”. He will also provide morning and afternoon follow up breakout sessions: "We Tried Everything . . . and it Worked.”

On Friday, we will experience a keynote address from bob McNeil on “Shifting Norms in the Youth Development Field”. Her 21st CCLC insights and engaging activities will provide immediate, effective youth development strategies. She will also offer two follow up breakout sessions: “Culturally Responsive Practices in 21st CCLC Programs” and “Sustainability Planning: When you fuel your plan, your plan fuels you!”

See you there!
