Supporting learning opportunities for all individuals
Education was the earliest foundation of our work at TRI. When we began in the 1960s, it was with a focus on educational research. Over the years, we have built strong and enduring relationships with school districts and educators both nationally and in our own neighborhood. Our partnerships with individuals and organizations across the country let us keep current with the advances and changes in the field of education, and our position on the campus of Western Oregon University gives us access to an incredible community of passionate educators.
TRI has achieved national prominence in the field of special education through projects administered by the Center on Early Learning and the Center on Deaf-Blindness. We also help inspire and empower the next generation of teachers through projects such as Project PIECE (Promoting Inclusion in Early Childhood Educators)
. Our educational services are designed to be accessible to anyone, from early childhood
The hands-on experience of housing and staffing the TRI-Child Development Center
here on the Western Oregon University campus, allows us and students from the WOU College of Education to interact with young children on a daily basis. The sounds of children playing that fill the halls are a constant reminder of why we do the work we do.
