Thursday, May 4th Keynote:
Rudyane Rivera-Lindstrom

Rudyane Rivera-Lindstrom transitioned from the classroom to the newly formed Equity Unit at the Oregon Department of Education in 2013.

The Equity Unit in the Oregon Department of Education works to provide robust access to a high quality education so that each student in Oregon can reach their highest potential and succeed regardless of their race/ethnicity, color, sex/gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, language, national origin, age, disability, familial status, source of income, and socio-economic status.

Rudyane's role is as an Education Program Specialist focused on Equity and English Learner support for districts all over the state. Her previous experience includes working as a Family Service worker in Headstart for Denver Public Schools, a Migrant Ed specialist for the Multnomah ESD, an ELL/Spanish/AVID teacher and Multicultural/ELL Coordinator for the Tigard/Tualatin School District.

Rudyane specializes in work with education equity, culturally responsive pedagogy and practice, student intervention supports, and family engagement. She is currently a Doctoral candidate at George Fox University completing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership.

Jennifer Powers

Jennifer Powers, MA, MCC, is a highly sought after coach, speaker, and author. She is a leading expert in helping professionals improve their confidence and competence so they can live and work at their full potential.
Jennifer founded her coaching and speaking practice in 2005.

Since then she has coached hundreds of professionals, executives and entrepreneurs and has delivered powerful keynote addresses to over 250,000 people around the globe. In January of 2016, Jennifer received her MCC (Master Certified Coach), the highest earned credential from the International Coach Federation, which puts her in
the top 3% of coaches worldwide.

Jennifer earned her Master’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Houston and received
her training and certification from Coach Training Alliance. She serves on the board of the
Northwest Coaches Association and is a Past President of the National Speakers Association-
Oregon Chapter. Additionally, she serves on the faculty of the Coach Training Alliance where she
teaches others to be effective and thriving coaches.
With clients on five continents, the energy and excitement Jennifer brings to her work is
contagious as she inspires change in the lives and businesses of her clients across the world.
Her best-selling book Oh, Shift! and Oh, shift! for Teens are available in bookstores across the
country. Professionals and entrepreneurs can now become licensed facilitators of her groundbreaking
content through the Oh, shift! Licensing Program.
