Oct 10, 2017  in Trainings The Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics is seeking enthusiastic educators of middle-school-age youth to join our Youth Astronomy Network (YouthAstroNet). Educators chosen to take part in the project must be willing to participate in the research study that is associated with the program, and will receive $250 for this participation.

Join us at OMSI for a great day of lessons and activities! SciGirls curriculum works well formal or informal settings and uses accessible and simple materials to create exciting science investigations for kids! SciGirls also offers research based strategies for engaging girls and underserved youth. The SciGirls 7 strategies are proven to excite kids of all kinds about Inquiry based science. SciGirls Watch Party July 6th from 3:30pm-5:30pm Join us for FREE Bring your 4th through 8th graders to OMSI for a screening of the SciGirls episode "Terrific Pacific". We will be in the OMSI auditorium at 3:30pm and will follow up the screening with a hands-on experiment from the third season of SciGirls.

Connecting School-Age Children, Families, and Communities

AIM Buddy Project leverages the power of Arthur, interactive comics and games, and a cross-age buddy framework to encourage children to explore and talk about five topics that help lay the foundation for character development: empathy, honesty, forgiveness, collaborative learning.

Creating Year-Round Opportunities for Literacy from Afterschool Alliance
